🔒 Static QR code made in your browser — no tracking redirect, never expires, nothing is uploaded (logos included).
How to make a QR code
- Choose what the code should do: open a URL, show text, join Wi-Fi, save a contact, start an email, SMS or call.
- Fill in the details — the QR code updates as you type.
- Optionally open Design to set colors, rounded or dot modules, or upload a logo (error correction switches to H automatically).
- Download PNG for screens and documents or SVG for print, then test-scan it with your phone camera.
Error correction levels
| Level | Recovers | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| L | ~7% | Clean screens and documents; smallest code |
| M | ~15% | The default for most print |
| Q | ~25% | Outdoor, industrial or likely-to-be-scuffed |
| H | ~30% | A logo covers the center |
Higher levels add redundancy, so the same content needs a bigger, denser code. Keep the payload short — a short URL scans faster and more reliably than a long one with tracking parameters.
Static vs. dynamic QR codes
These are static codes: your content is stored in the pattern itself, so they work forever, offline, with no account or redirect server. “Dynamic” QR services encode a short link to their own server, which lets you change the destination and count scans — but the code stops working if you stop paying or the company shuts down.
Print checklist
- At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) for close-range scanning; a common rule is scanning distance ÷ 10 for the code width.
- Keep a quiet zone of 4 modules around the code.
- Use dark modules on a light background with strong contrast.
- Always test-scan the final printed proof with more than one phone.

Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They're static — the content is in the code itself and there's no redirect service in between, so they work as long as the destination does.
Can I put my logo in the QR code?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP under Design. The tool clears a space in the center and forces error correction H so the code still scans; keep the logo at 20–25% of the width or less.
Can I track how many people scan it?
Static codes can't count scans by themselves. Add UTM parameters to your URL (for example ?utm_source=flyer) and you'll see the visits in your analytics.
Is it free for commercial use?
Yes — no watermark, no limits, no attribution required. “QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE, but generating and using the codes is free.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Everything is generated by JavaScript in your browser, so nothing you type or generate is uploaded, logged or stored. It keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
